As part of the Youth Impact project, FIAP welcomed its Czech, Polish and Slovenian partners in October at the New Work Lab in Gelsenkirchen. The aim of the project is to enable organizations – dedicated to reducing youth unemployment – to evaluate the effectiveness of their measures and make appropriate adjustments to improve them.
As expert partners, FIAP, practice partners and evaluation experts from Germany first presented various projects in the field of youth unemployment work as well as different well-founded evaluation approaches. The primary goal of the study visit, however, was to guide and moderate a dialogical exchange with all project partners who are experts in their countries. In exciting discussions a common understanding of impact evaluation and its most important criteria for the project was developed.
In the next step the FIAP will develop a comprehensive instrument box, which will be adapted and further developed to the needs of the target countries in the progress of the project together with all partners. The aim of this Toolbox is to offer a wide range of evaluation tools to the partner organizations of the different countries. The tools can then be selected by the organizations themselves according to their measures and needs. With the support of the project partners, the tools can then be adapted according to the needs and special situations. This strengthens the organizations to evaluate their measures themselves in the future and to optimize them and their work.
